Easily the most relaxed I have been potentially ever. Perfectly balanced between luxury and rustic, it has everything you need. The setup is brilliant with the open kitchen window to the deck, the fire pit, the outdoor tub which now I finally get. Soaking it a hot tub under the stars is now my favourite place on earth. The yurt itself is great, the bed is dangerously comfortable, it's private, the bird watching is great, alpacas great, seriously can we just move in? Highly recommend.

Amazing stay, all amenities were great and the outdoor fire pit and bath were amazing - Also such a cute touch with the three alpacas circling the yurt all the time 😍 Cannot fault this place and definitely is so much better in person You stay cool and warm with the indoor heat pump so don’t worry about temperature

Utterly the best place to get lost ever – The Round Tent in Raglan.
We had no particular reason or excuse to go away for the weekend, except for it was our first child free weekend in 2 months that happened to coincide with availability at The Round Tent (serendipitous indeed).
Set about 10km out of Raglan this amazing glamping experience will set you back about the same amount as a night in an Auckland hotel but leave you more refreshed than a night in the city ever could.
With a rural outlook over farm and a river (complete with ducks and sheep wandering past every hour or so) from the moment you arrive everything feels almost too perfect to be true.
Incredibly private we didn’t see anyone the entire time and we felt instantly at home.
We wanted to make the most of our stay and not worry about driving home after a few drinks so we bought our own wine and food and cooked some steak and prawns on the bbq and sat there sipping Moet while we watched the sun set. Just to set the record straight here sipping Moet is not usually something we do (although I could get used to it!) – I won a bottle at work and it seemed the perfect occasion to have it – it totally was.
Everything has been thought of – from the wonderfully funky and eclectic mix of furniture, to the wide range of DVD’s, serving platters and games. There was literally nothing else we could have asked for.
The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept on (I would love to know where they get those pillows!) and the air conditioning kept the tent (or I should say yurt) at a comfortable temperature all night.
Forget the best glamping experience around, The Round Tent is the best accommodation around the Auckland region. Hands down. Loads of room for two they even have bunk beds for little ones but if you can get them baby sat instead I would thoroughly recommend going that way instead.

Just wanted to say thank you so much for our stay Saturday night - you really have the most amazing place there.
We were really lucky with the weather Saturday and got to enjoy the sun on the deck in the afternoon, and then woke up to the sound of rain on the tent in the morning which was lovely, which then cleared for us over brunch in Raglan!

The Round Tent is utterly incredible!
My partner and I were immediately drawn to the place, and have since been pondering the possibility of a yurt of our own. What a wonderful dwelling.
The facilities are all great, so you can stock up and hunker down without needing to leave this amazing sanctuary.
Lovely little outdoor fire with complementary marsh mellows! Outdoor bath was definitely a highlight.
The only downside was that we only stayed for one night. We will definitely be back again.

Even in the middle of winter and a rain storm this was a magical stay. Only regret it wasn't longer. Was super warm and so glamorous but felt like home. Loads of lovely touches including marshmallows for toasting on the open fire, the outside bath and the hammock. A lovely rural setting overlooking a river with peaceful wildlife yet minutes to Raglan for a amazing breakfast ! Can't wait for a summer stay!

We found this location only a few days before our stay and Jacqui was great at approving the reservation quickly and being super flexible on our arrival time. We book The Round Tent as a surprise for the friends we were traveling with and it was one of the highlights of our trip! The tent is beautifully and thoughtfully decorated. We spent the evening enjoying dinner, drinks and company at the campfire under the stars. There was more than enough space for all of us. Although you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere in this relaxing retreat in the morning we made it into Raglan in about 10 minutes. I would highly recommend this location if you are looking of a unique experience.

Stayed over Queens Birthday weekend - a fantastic time had by all! Loved the Raglan vibe and 'The Round Tent' was an absolute treat - so warm and cosy with the heat pump. Loved the outside bath and marshmallows over the open fire.
Perfect for a romantic getaway or ideal for a young family adventure.
